My name is Joy.

I live in Maine.

I've never met an exclamation mark I didn't like.

Sometimes I host impromptu dance-offs in the middle of the street.

I think there are a lot of crazy people on the Internet. They’re the ones who craft long, angry responses to articles and blog posts, think it’s okay to call Frank Ocean a “faggot” on Twitter, and generally demoralize and demean one another anonymously until for a second I sometimes wonder whether the advent of Internet was worth it.
Then there are the truly wonderful, amazing people you meet in Cyberspace who humble you and make you realize how beautiful friendships are, how generous the human race can be to one another, and how much a small gesture of cupcakes at your doorstep after a not-so-great few days can feel.
Today I was reminded of the good side of people and this world wide web-thing.
So thanks favorite Internet friend who I’ve not yet met but really, really hope to soon. You’re amazing.

The worst thing about sending cupcakes to the other side of the country, is that you get to see a photo of them, but you don’t get to taste them.
But apparently this is going to make me feel better and happier in the longer term.
